TRIGGER WARNING: S*xual Assault/Violence/Nudity
Gracie is a multifaceted artist, singer, and model whom I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with on two different projects. “Awareness” in particular, is one of the most vulnerable shoots I have ever done. Gracie and I chose to be fully transparent in this project by opening up about our personal experiences with being victims of sexual assault. I shot her in her most rawest form: fully naked with a plain white backdrop. In our social media posts, we brought awareness to sexual violence and coercion while educating our community on it. Gracie and I additionally held a fundraiser and raised funds to support other survivors through RAINN- the nation’s largest anti sexual-violence organizations. During the time of the project release, many victims had opened up with their own experiences; I showed support while holding an open hand to those fighting silent wars.
PANSEXUAL
One of my favorite and most messiest photoshoots I’ve executed, “PANSEXUAL” is a song on Gracie’s first album “Frequensea”. For this promotional shoot we collaborated with our friend Mav to bring our free spirited masterpiece to life. Cake, water, blood, and a camera is all you ever need to capture this dynamic duo.
